You and the computer each hide a fleet on a 10 × 10 sea. Take turns firing one shot at the other's sea. The first to sink the whole enemy fleet wins.
Each fleet has five ships, 5, 4, 3, 3 and 2 squares long, lying straight across or down. Ships never touch each other, not even at a corner.
Tap a square of enemy waters (the big grid) to fire. A dot is a miss; a red mark is a hit. When every square of a ship has been hit it sinks: its outline appears and the squares around it are marked as water, because no other ship can be there.
The small ships above the grid show which enemy ships are still afloat.
Your own fleet is the small grid, with the computer's shots on it. Tap it to see it large; tap the small grid again to switch back.
Your fleet is placed for you. Before your first shot you can Shuffle it, or open it large and move ships yourself: tap a ship, then tap where it should go. Tap a picked-up ship again to turn it.
Tap ⋯ → Play friends online and send your friend the link. You both arrange your fleets at the same time (Shuffle, or move and turn ships), then tap Ready. Neither of you sees the other's ships until they sink or the game ends.
Undo, the difficulty and Shuffle are in the ⋯ menu.
