How to play
Courtiers pass secret notes around the palace. Hold on to the best note, or be the last courtier still in the round. Each round won earns a wax seal . The first to 5 seals (2 players), 4 (3 players) or 3 (4 players) wins, as long as nobody is level with them.
A round
The 16 cards are shuffled. One is set aside face down, unseen. With two players, three more are laid face up for everyone to see.
Everyone gets one card. Keep it secret.
On your turn, draw a card, then play one of your two cards face up and do what it says. Played cards stay in front of you, so everyone can count what's gone.
A courtier who is knocked out shows their card and sits out the rest of the round.
The round ends when only one courtier is left (they win it), or when the deck runs out: everyone still in shows their card and the highest wins. If that's a tie, the higher total of played cards wins. Still tied: all of them win a seal.
The winner starts the next round.

Tips
Count cards. Tap the deck to see how many of each are still unseen.
Late in the round, keep your higher card. Early on, a high card is a target.
If you saw a rival's card, a Page can knock them out next turn.
On this screen
Your cards are at the bottom. Tap one to choose it, then tap the courtier it should go to. For a Page, pick your guess.
Each rival shows their seals, their card (face down) and the cards they've played. A card you've seen stays face up for you.
What was just played is shown in the middle of the table, and What happened under your cards lists the latest plays, newest first. Full log has the whole game.
