You and your teammates catch fireflies together. Fill five jars, one per colour, each in order 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Your score is the number of fireflies in the jars (25 at best). Everyone wins or loses together.
The twist: you can’t see your own cards, only everyone else’s. Your cards are shown from behind, with whatever you have been told about them.
The cards
Five colours, each with its own shape: . Each colour has three 1s, two each of 2, 3 and 4, and one 5.
On your turn, do one thing
- Give a clue (costs a lantern): tell one teammate every card of one colour, or every card of one number, in their hand. It must point at least one card.
- Play a card: if it is the next number of its colour, it goes in the jar. If not, it flies off and a storm comes.
- Discard a card to win back a lantern (not when you have all 8).
After playing or discarding you draw a new card, which goes on the left of your hand. Finishing a jar with its 5 wins back a lantern too.
The end
The third storm ends the night and the jars tip over: you score 0. Filling all five jars ends it with 25. Otherwise, once the deck runs out, everyone takes one last turn.
How your teammates think
- Each hand’s oldest card nobody has clued (the rightmost unclued) is its chop: the card that gets discarded when there is nothing better to do.
- A clue about new cards is about one card: the chop if the clue touches it, otherwise the newest (leftmost) new card touched.
- If that card is not the chop, they take the clue as “play this”: it can go in a jar now (or right after a card already clued in someone else’s hand).
- If it is the chop, they take it as “keep this”: it is playable, a 5, a 2, or the last copy left.
- They clue each other’s cards only when those are still needed, so a clued card is never rubbish.
So to get a teammate to play a card, clue it when it isn’t their chop; to save a valuable card on their chop, clue it (a number clue for 5s and 2s is clearest).
On this screen
- Tap a teammate’s card to clue its colour or number. Tap one of your cards to play or discard it.
- The small marks under each card show what its owner has been told. A ribbon shows a clued card.

Playing friends
Tap ⋯ → Play friends online and send the link to 1–3 friends. Each of you sees everyone’s cards but your own, just like at a real table, and the whole table wins or loses together.
