Nine banners stand in a line between you and your rival. Both of you send companies of three
to the foot of each banner; the stronger company takes it.
Your turn
- Tap a card in your hand, then tap a banner to set the card on your side of it.
- Each side holds at most three cards at a banner. You then draw a fresh card, while any are left.
- When both sides of a banner hold three cards, the banner is settled at once.
Which company is stronger
- Column: three in a row, all one colour (Jade 4-5-6).
- Trio: three of the same number (three 7s).
- Muster: three of one colour (Rose 2, Rose 6, Rose 9).
- March: three in a row, colours mixed (Amber 3, Slate 4, Azure 5).
- Host: anything else.
Two companies of the same kind are settled on their total. If those match too, the
banner goes to whoever finished their three first.
Winning
- Take five banners, or three standing side by side, and the field is yours.
- If the cards run out first, every banner still standing is settled on what is there, and
the larger share of banners wins.
On this screen
- Your rival's cards sit above each banner, yours below. Tap a banner to see it up close.
- A banner that has been taken shows a shield in the winner's colour.
- Every card carries its colour's initial, so the colours never have to be told apart by hue alone.
